You will not find much to dislike at Silver Sands Motel if you are simply looking for a clean and cozy place to help create a memorable Clearwater Beach visit. Luxury is not available at this motel, but average homes aren't luxurious either. It seems the management of this resort understands the importance of bringing guests to their homes even when they are away on business trips or leisure travel.
Silver Sands Motel aptly calls itself a "family-oriented establishment." This motel is cared for by a hardworking and friendly couple. Jack and Anna Opacian are always there on the premises and are close onlookers of the functioning of the entire motel. They make you feel like as if they are family instead of innkeepers.
This two-story motel has only 9 rooms. All rooms are fully-equipped apartments and efficiencies. If you are holding the first impression of a dated outdoor look of this place, the apartments and efficiencies will change your perception. With daily maid service and provision of fresh towels, there are other basic amenities to make your stay a pleasing and comfortable one. Some of the basic amenities featured in the rooms include AC/heating unit, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, telephone, television, internet access and in-room safe.
All apartments come with kitchenette, great for people who love home-cooked meals. Many rooms also offer balcony/terrace. You will just love the fairly spacious layout and basic décor of the rooms. This lodge, although built in 1952, was renovated not so long ago in the year 2003. The modernity and comfort offered here provide a testimony to the dedicated staff and service of this motel.
Since it is located right in the neighborhood of ever-happening Clearwater Beach, dining, shopping and entertainment options are just around the corner. You can treat your taste buds to food from several different nearby restaurants. There is a Post Corner Pizza just 0.1 miles from the motel and Gondolier Italian Restaurant about 0.3 miles away. Then you have even wider options if you choose on-beach dining. Try Frenchy's chain of restaurants, all located on the stretch of Clearwater Beach and popular for their fresh seafood and delectable Grouper sandwiches.
There is a provision of stainless steel barbeque grill at the motel. While Silver Sands' pool area might appear small in size to you, you can still enjoy some private time by the pool deck as many travelers have had the most soaking and swimming at the beach. An outdoor hot tub will rejuvenate you after a long day of outing.
To maintain the family-oriented status of its premises, Silver Sands does not allow 18 year olds or even 21 year olds to make reservations. Required age to reserve a room with them is 23 years with a valid credit card and identification proof. One night reservations are not accepted here, and a minimum of 2 nights stay is required if you intend to reserve a room. This minimum limit stretches to 4 days of stay during all holidays and long weekends.
