Chart House Suites
Built in 1994, this property is fairly new in the area. The outside appeal of this three-story structure is more of a condo-building than a motel or resort.
With a total of 25 rooms, Chart House Suites makes available all of the common hotel amenities to its guests. There are standard rooms and suites available here. Choose from one king bed or two queen beds. The rooms are equipped with a TV with standard cable, telephones with voice mail and data-port access, a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as a furnished patio or balcony overlooking the bay or boulevard. Suites, in addition to all this, also include a kitchenette with utensils and a queen size bed in the living room.
There's also a penthouse for that more secluded and home-like feeling. Chart House calls their penthouse "one of the largest suites on the Clearwater Beach." To make a statement like this, there's bound to be truth attached to it. How does 1800 square feet sound for "one of the largest?" However it sounds, that's what you get at Chart House's Penthouse. A furnished balcony offering an exquisite view of Clearwater Bay, a master bedroom with a king bed, a TV with cable, a master bath with a Jacuzzi tub, and a walk-in closet - all this and lot more is available at the penthouse
Chart House Suites is a treat for pet owners. This place has some rooms that are completely pet-friendly. The rules are that your cats and dogs should be under 25 lbs and more importantly, "well-behaved."
It's even better if you are a pet-owner and a mariner!
This resort has a private 26 slip marina and is adjacent to Clearwater Yacht Club. And if you can imagine, you will see that the location is a delight for boaters and sailors. From fishing, sailing, sight-seeing, cruising, dolphin watching, parasailing and watercraft - there are innumerable things you can do to make the most of the marina. It's romance, adventure and excitement all combined at one destination.
While you can enjoy your early morning coffee or tea in your private balcony overlooking some of the great views and your evening champagne while watching the sunset, other than a small heated pool there's nothing more you have on the premises to engage your remaining day. By all means, you can have the marina fun at the Chart House, but the Clearwater Beach excitement isn't far off either. You can hop on Jolly Trolley which will take you around the city and even drop you off at the beach or Pier 60. A bunch of nice restaurants are conveniently located to this place as well.
If you are in mood to get up-close and personal with bottlenose dolphins, visit the nearby Clearwater Marine Aquarium. For your young ones, you can also spend a day at Captain Memo's Pirate Ship Cruise.
This place is more homey over hotel-like. The daily rates can range anywhere from $99 to $389 depending upon the time of the year you plan to visit.
