Porpoise Inn

Clearwater Beach's Porpoise Inn knows what travelers really look for in a hotel or a motel. Although Porpoise is only a small lodging offering limited amenities, the owners here are dedicated to make beach vacationers' stay enjoyable and satisfying.

An average-looking structure near the intersection of Cyprus Avenue and Bay Esplanade, The Porpoise Inn might not be spectacular in looks, but it sure is great in terms of friendly service. This place was bought by its current owners in March of 2000. Prior to their purchase, the current owners were frequent travelers to the Clearwater Beach. They loved this beach city enough to make it their home after a decade of vacationing here every now and then.

When you peak into the inn's guest units, cleanliness will not come out as a matter of concern. You will find spotless accommodations here. The value you pay for this squeaky clean comfort is also great - owe it all to the owners and their personal vacation experiences to this side of Florida.

You will also love this place if you like to be away from the screams and shouts - noticeable excitement of other travelers - but still be near the beach to create your own fun-filled vacation. The Porpoise Inn is nested in north of Clearwater Beach, an area that is much quieter than the southern part of the beach.

This place is very small with only six guest units. If you are not fussy about scenic views or type of accommodations offered like studios or suites, you would do just fine at The Porpoise Inn. With six units, you do not have much choice available here. All units are one-bedroom efficiencies featuring some common amenities including individually controlled heat and air conditioning, color cable television, and full bed plus a twin bed. Like to cook and eat in? Don't worry as every guest unit comes here with a fully-functional kitchen with a microwave.

In terms of recreational options on site, the inn does not have much to offer to the travelers. All you can do is lie back and lounge in the shade here. But who really needs a swimming pool on site or a so-called therapeutic spa when the beach will be so close by? You can enjoy a nice swim in warm waters of Gulf just three minutes away from this inn. If you need rejuvenation, go natural. Bathe in sunshine at the beach and tinkle your melanin with some natural Vitamin D.

The landmark of Clearwater Beach, Pier 60, is also about 10 minutes of walk from The Porpoise Inn. You will never be far away from some beautiful and breathtaking sunsets. At Pier 60 after the sunset, you can enjoy a horde of activities. This place is the focal point of Clearwater Beach's arts and crafts and live entertainment.

There are some public tennis courts near to the inn. Families with kids don't have to be disappointed as a lot of "kiddie" fun is also going around in the area. From meeting some friendly dolphins at Clearwater Marine Aquarium to being wicked with some pirates aboard Pirates' Ransom, the fun will be in close proximity to help you plan the best of your family vacation.

The Porpoise Inn is a non-smoking facility requiring a minimum of three nights stay. Nightly, weekly and monthly rates are available here. For an average of $60 per night, this inn is a pretty good place to stay and sleep while in Clearwater Beach.
