Clearwater Hotels

There's a diverse range of hotels in Clearwater that can accommodate almost all needs, requirements and budgets. Most of the business-class hotels are located on the mainland - Clearwater - while those hotels catering to leisure tend to be near or on the beach.
This guide lists all the major hotels and many of the smaller properties that are of smaller scale. Since there are so many dining and attractions near these properties, they can make a good choice for those otherwise considering a resort type of property.
Hotels
Getting to and from the Beach area of Clearwater - to Clearwater Beach from mainland Clearwater - can involve a lengthy drive and having to contend with rush-hour traffic is no way to spend your vacation.
If you plan to stay on the mainland, make sure you don't hit the road when traffic can snarl and sour your mood. State Road 60 is the main causeway to Clearwater Beach and does get congested during the evening hours and also when school is letting out in the afternoon.
Staying at one of the hotels or resorts on Clearwater Beach is recommended for travelers.
